PRECOL 2006 - 2013

Implemented from 2006 to 2013, the Local Government Strengthening and Equipment Programme (PRECOL) mobilised XOF 86 billion from the State, the World Bank, AFD and communes (self-financing and borrowing).

In 67 communes and 2 intercommunal bodies (CADAK and CAR), PRECOL built and rehabilitated roads (220 km), electricity network extensions (153 km), drinking-water supply (18 km), and basic administrative and social facilities (9 health posts, 7 health centres, 2 schools, 3 women’s centres, 17 town halls and civil-status centres, 14 stadiums, 2 municipal arenas, 18 socio-community complexes, etc.). Results also include addressing in 11 cities, construction of 12 markets, 2 municipal tax offices and 11 bus stations.
